Cement-truck driver questioned by police after crash kills five people in Calgary
Five people — including three children — were killed Friday night in a horrific crash on the outskirts of Calgary that left the shredded remains of a car trapped under a cement truck.
Though the investigation was in its early stages, police duty inspector Luch Berti said it appeared the car may have been struck from behind by the cement truck.
The crash took place on the southern edge of the city local time. The truck’s driver was not hurt in the crash; police took him into custody for questioning.
