A Neah Bay man was arrested on investigation of drunk driving after he collided with a log truck and a pickup early Monday morning, the State Patrol said.

Dustin Brunk, 22, was turning onto state Highway 112 in his 1996 Nissan Altima from a parking lot seven miles east of Neah Bay at 8:35 a.m. and collided with a logging truck traveling east on the highway, police said.

Brunk’s car spun around and was hit from behind by a 2005 Ford F150 driven by Joseph Dickhunt, 53, of Sequim traveling west on Highway 112, the State Patrol said.

Brunk remained in custody in the Clallam County jail on investigation of drunk driving on Monday night.

Ralph Napier, 59, of Forks, who was driving the 1997 Peterbilt logging truck, was not injured.

Brunk and Dickhunt suffered no injuries, but Brunk’s two passengers were hurt.

Thomas C. Johnson, 18, of Neah Bay was taken to Forks Community Hospital with an injured arm, bruises and scratches.

The hospital declined to release information about Thomas’ condition or if he had been released.

Rarriana Moccardime, 18, of Neah Bay had cuts from glass in her scalp but refused treatment at the scene of the wreck, State Patrol said.

The State Patrol said that the Altima was destroyed.

Officers estimated $1,500 worth of damage to the log truck, which was from the wreck.

The State Patrol estimated about $2,000 worth of damage to Dickhunt’s Ford.
